I have no problems with King Promise, despite not replying to his congratulations post on X-Stonebwoy.

Stonebwoy, a singer who plays reggae and dancehall music, has responded to recent rumours that he did not respond to a message of congratulations that was made by his fellow artist, Gregory Bortey Newman, also known as King Promise, on the social networking site X, which was previously known as Twitter.

Stonebwoy was the recipient of the Artiste of the Year (AOTY) award at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), and King Promise sent a message of congratulations to the 'Therapy' hitmaker after Stonebwoy won the honour. Nevertheless, Stonebwoy did not answer to the message, which caused a lot of people to be disappointed, especially those who are followers of both artists and music in general.

Stonebwoy emphasised that there is no underlying problem or ill blood between him and the 'Terminator' singer in a remark that was both straightforward and forthright. The declaration was made during an exclusive interview on Hitz FM with Andy Dosty.

He continued by explaining that his quiet was not an indication of any personal strife, but rather the consequence of the tremendous amount of messages he got following the award ceremony. He said that this was the actual reason for his silence.

With regard to my failure to react to King Promise's message of congratulations on X, there is nothing tied to my decision. My relationship with King Promise is not tainted with any animosity. I am unable to engage in a conflict with him since he is a junior brother in the business. "There are a great number of messages of congratulations that I have not responded to, and I can confidently say that his message was one of those messages that was lost in the shuffle," Stonebwoy said.

When King Promise tweeted a congratulatory message congratulating Stonebwoy's newest triumph as TGMA Artiste of the Year, the dancehall artist did not publicly acknowledge the message. This is when the rumours of a possible fracture started to circulate. Fans soon worried about a probable rift between the two musicians, both of whom have played key roles in promoting Ghanaian music on the world stage

Stonebwoy expressed his gratitude and admiration for King Promise, underlining their joint dedication to promoting the Ghanaian music business. “King Promise is a talented artist and a brother in the industry. We have a similar aim of enhancing our music and culture, and there’s no space for pointless strife.
